There is no better stage in Istanbul than the Bosphorus after dark. The palaces along the shore are lit, the bridges change colour and the city settles into its evening rhythm on both sides of the strait. A dinner cruise is the easiest way to see it all from the water, with dinner served on board.
The route
Evening cruises set off from the European shore and follow the strait north. Along the way you pass Dolmabahçe Palace, the mosque at Ortaköy beneath the first bridge, the wooden waterfront mansions known as yalı and the fortress walls of Rumeli Hisarı, before the boat turns back towards the city lights.
What to expect on board
A dinner cruise is a shared evening: guests from different groups are on board together, each seated at their own table.
- Dinner: a set menu served at the table, typically built around Turkish mezes and main courses.
- Atmosphere: many evening cruises include live music or entertainment. What is included varies by cruise, so we confirm it before you book.
- Seating: couples and small parties have their own table; larger groups can be seated together when booked in advance.
The view does the work. Our job is to make sure the table, the timing and the ride back to the hotel need no thought at all.
Timing your evening
Departure times are set by the cruise and shift with the seasons. In summer the boat sails in daylight and returns under the lights; in winter the whole evening is after dark. We book the sailing that best fits your plans and time your hotel pick-up around it.

Dinner cruises work well for groups who want an easy, sociable evening: a team on an incentive trip, a delegation after a day of meetings or a family celebration. We reserve tables together, share dietary requirements with the cruise in advance and arrange transfers for the whole group.

- Dress: smart casual suits most evenings. It is cooler on the water, so a light layer is worth bringing.
