In the footsteps of St Paul
Acts records that Paul was born in Tarsus (Acts 22:3) and that he and Barnabas set out from Antioch on their first missionary journey (Acts 13:1–4). Their route through Anatolia included Perge, Pisidian Antioch, Iconium, Lystra and Derbe (Acts 13–14), and Paul later spent a long period in Ephesus (Acts 19).
Pisidian Antioch, near today's Yalvaç, is a different city from Antioch on the Orontes, today's Antakya. We plan the route around the sites where the historical connection and the logistics both support a visit.

- Ephesus

Istanbul
The Christian heritage of Istanbul
Hagia Sophia was completed in 537 as the cathedral of Constantinople. It has served as a mosque since 2020, so visits are arranged around prayer times and its dress code. Hagia Irene, the Chora and other Byzantine monuments trace the city's Christian centuries.
Istanbul is also the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople at the Phanar, a living centre of Orthodox Christianity. Visits there respect its services and its rules for groups.

Cappadocia
Rock-cut churches and monastic heritage
Christian communities carved churches, chapels and monasteries into Cappadocia's volcanic rock, and many still hold Byzantine frescoes. Göreme National Park and the Rock Sites of Cappadocia have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.
We pair the Göreme Open-Air Museum with quieter valleys, such as Ihlara, at a pace that suits the group.

İznik (Nicaea)
Nicaea and the early councils
The First Council of Nicaea met here in 325 and the Second Council of Nicaea in 787, the latter in the church of Hagia Sophia that still stands in the town. In 2025 the Christian world marked 1,700 years since the first council.
The remains of an early basilica also lie beneath the waters of Lake İznik. Nicaea is within reach of Istanbul as a day visit or an overnight stay.

Combine regions
One journey, several regions
Many travellers combine regions: the Christian Heritage of Türkiye from Istanbul to Ephesus, or Istanbul, Cappadocia and Antioch in one programme. Domestic flights, transfers and hotels are coordinated as a single journey, with one point of contact throughout.
